To diversify our current offering and give our clients an added marketing avenue, RE/MAX Masters has entered into a collaboration agreement with Tirhani Auctioneers. The It is also important to demystify the belief system around auctions being suited to 'problem' properties or those that are struggling to sell in the traditional way. We have put together some guidelines below on how to identify a property that will achieve the best results using the auction method.

  1. Luxury, larger and higher quality properties with unique features
  2. There must be equity in the property of no less than 40% (equity = value - liabilities)
  3. Highly sought-after 'hot' properties in short supply and in high demand
  4. Income generating properties (rental stock)
  5. Investment opportunities - tenanted with current leases in place
  6. Quick turnaround properties

The benefits of the auction method are that buyers are pre-qualified and must show commitment to the process by registering beforehand and ensuring that the finance is in place.
